The Ocean Resort Casino Still in Mystery

A little over six months after Colorado businessman Bruce Daypick announced the sale of the Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City, the owner’s identity remains shrouded in mystery

Ocean Resort Casino, formerly Revel, was released in late June 2018 for a huge fanfare. However, rumors of a property sale began to circulate months after the opening due to weaker-than-expected performance. 파칭코

Mr. Deifik bought a boardwalk resort from Florida businessman Glenn Straub in early 2018. The new owner of the property paid more than $200 million to acquire the property and invested another $200 million to do what Mr. Straub failed to do. Reimagine and re-start what was operating as Revel for just two years after becoming a symbol of the collapse and fire of the Atlantic City casino market.

Despite his efforts to finally turn the property into a profitable business, Mr. Daypick, a newcomer to the casino scene in Atlantic City, was unable to deliver. Ocean Resort Casino has underperformed most of its first six months of operations, lagging behind its Boardwalk competitors.

Reports emerged earlier this month that the property would be handed over to another owner, and a few days later, Mr. Daypick confirmed it. The businessman said the outside company will hold a majority ownership of the hotel and casino resort and will maintain a non-controlling interest.

The new owner of the ailing boardwalk complex plans to invest $70 million in opening buffets, adding more rooms and suites, and upgrading the casino floor.
