Italy’s land-based gambling declines after reopening

The overall situation in Italy’s land gambling sector is disappointing enough for now. Since the beginning of 2020, three casinos have earned around 70 million euros, while they have been able to collect about 103 million euros over the same period in 2019. The eight-month decline is almost 38 percent. Looking at the yearly statistics, casinos have collected about 132 million euros since September 2019. The situation between September 2018 and August 2019 was 33% more optimistic, meaning about 176 million euros in revenue. 경마사이트프로

The Nuovo Casino di Campione, located in Campione di Italy, has been closed since 2018, so there are only three places to gamble. The Venice area owns two casinos, but Cavendramin Calergi is temporarily closed. Canogera, another gambling venue in the Veneto region, reported collecting EUR 7 million, a 22.5% worse result than in August 2019. The situation from the beginning of the year is also regrettable, as 30 million euros were collected in the first eight months of 2020, while about 46 million euros were earned during the same period in 2019.

Casino Sanremo, located in an area of the same name, had the best results in 2020, but is still negative. Therefore, the gambling spot in Sanremo was just under €5 million, 14% lower than in August 2019. Total gatherings since the start of the year affected by COVID-19 were around €18 million, compared to €25 million in the previous year for the first eight months.

The last gambling spot in a recent review is Casino de la Valais, located in Saint Vincent. Their August results raised around 5 million euros, while the previous year’s results were 21% better. The EUR 22 million received since the beginning of 2020 represents a 46% drop as it brings in EUR 32 million in the first eight months of 2019.
