No Shin-Soo Choo next year anyway… Lee Sung-yong-pyo’s SSG batting order plan

Shin-Soo Choo (42, SSG) is synonymous with being a leadoff hitter. He doesn’t have a high batting average to compete for the batting title, but his four-pitch style has always kept his OPS among the best in the league. As if that wasn’t enough, he also has the power to hit two doubles and 20+ home runs at any given time. That”s why he was recognized as one of the best leadoff hitters in the majors.

In his 16-year major league career, Shin-Soo Choo totaled 7157 at-bats. Almost half of them, 3365, were in the number one spot in the batting order, followed by 1313 in the number three spot and 1137 in the number two spot. Even after coming to the KBO, he mostly batted first. Shin-soo Choo has totaled 1541 at-bats since joining SSG in 2021, with the vast majority (1097) coming at number one. He has 285 at-bats at No. 3, followed by 134 at No. 2.

To summarize, Shin-Soo Choo has spent most of his career batting in the top of the order, 1-3, with 1-3 being the most familiar. However, in his final season, it’s likely that he won’t be batting leadoff. Of course, he could return to the No. 1 spot in the future, depending on the situation, but in SSG manager Lee Sung-yong’s plan, Shin-soo will bat No. 2 this year.

Lee is thinking of putting Shin-soo in the No. 2 spot. The plan is to have Choi Ji-hoon bat leadoff. Choi is a fast player. Once he gets going, he can cause a lot of trouble for opposing pitchers. Then, when Shin-soo Choo comes in, there’s a lot more he can do. Shin-Soo Choo also emphasized in his meeting with Lee that he doesn’t mind batting second. He said he’s fine with batting anywhere in the order as long as it’s where the team wants to go and where the team can be strong.

Despite his reputation as a player who takes great care of his body, Choo is 42 years old. He can’t be fresh every day. Therefore, Lee is thinking of using him as a starter for three to four games a week. The idea is that he needs to be physically fit to perform well. More importantly, this is Shin-Soo Choo’s last season. We need to find a new leadoff man. Choi Ji-hoon has always been the long-term alternative, so we’re going to trust him. After all, Choi Ji-hoon needs to rebound from his batting slump last year, and the manager believes that his pace is not bad and that he has recovered mentally.

Choo Shin-soo agrees that if he bats second, it will be easier for him to move around when Choi Ji-hoon is on base. Because he is a left-handed hitter, he is blocking the path to first base, which limits the catcher’s movement. Also, this year’s defense shifts are much more relaxed. Choo Shin-soo also envisions himself pulling Choi Ji-hoon to second or third base when the team needs a run. “He’s thinking about it all,” Lee said. He also calculates that if Choi Ji-hoon is out, Choo Shin-soo can start the rest of the inning as the leadoff man again. The plan is for Shin-soo to pinch-hit for Ha Jae-hoon if a weaker pitcher takes the mound.

No. 3 is a fixed constant. It’s the best spot. The No. 4 spot, which has gotten a lot of attention, will most likely go to Han Yoo-seom. Lee is also considering a platoon, but in the early stages of the season, he plans to give Han the No. 4 spot regardless of left or right-handers. In the past, left-handers have often been left out of the starting lineup, so the stress on the player is also a consideration. Instead, he urged Han to prove that he can hit well against lefties. If he can’t prove it, he’ll likely go to the platoon.

No. 5 is Guillermo Heredia. The manager is high on Heredia’s hitting skills and expects him to hit at least as well as he did last year. He has a lot of power and good contact, so he’s a good candidate to bring in runners on base. The sixth spot will most likely be Park Sung-han’s if he starts.

No. 7 is the first baseman’s spot. Currently, Jeon Eui-san and Go Myung-joon are competing for the starting first base job. Regardless of who wins, both players don’t have much first-team experience yet. They have the potential to hit long balls, but the idea is to bat them lower in the order so they don’t put too much pressure on the center fielders. The eighth spot is a catcher and the ninth is a second baseman. The competition at second base is fierce, so it’s not yet clear who will be the starting second baseman. However, Ahn Sang-hyun, who is quick on his feet, could synergize with Choi Ji-hoon at No. 1 if he emerges as the winner.

Of course, this batting order is just a theory. The batting order will change almost every day, depending on the opposing pitcher, the hitting form of the players, the players’ rest days, the use of the designated hitter, and the team’s intentional strategy. Even the most lineup-oriented teams will have at least 100 different lineups in 144 games. However, it’s best to stick to the ideal batting order you envisioned before the season.

The lineup for our own scrimmage on April 18 is based on this idea. The Red Team’s lineup is one of the most heavily weighted toward starters. Choi Ji-hoon (center field), Choo Shin-soo (right field), Choi Jung (third base), Han Yoo-seom (designated hitter), Eredia (left field), Park Sung-han (shortstop), Jeon Jeonsan (first base), Cho Hyung-woo (catcher), and Ahn Sang-hyun (second base). Kim Sung-min will bat 10th in the lineup, and the pitching staff will be Lee Eun-wook, Choi Min-joon, Han Dong-sol, Cho Byung-hyun, and Baek Seung-gun.

The back lineup is Kim Chang-pyeong (right fielder), Ha Jae-hoon (center fielder), Oh Tae-gon (left fielder), Ko Myung-joon (first baseman), Kim Chan-hyung (third baseman), Kim Sung-hyun (shortstop), Choi Jun-woo (second baseman), Lee Ji-young (designated hitter), Kim Min-sik (catcher), and Choi Kyung-mo as the No. 10 hitter. The pitchers will be Park Min-ho, Lee Rhee, Jung Sung-gon, Seo Sang-joon, and Song Young-jin. It will be the first scrimmage of the camp and will be a six-inning game.

Gyeongnam Development Corporation dramatically beats Seoul Metropolitan Government to chase top spot

Gyeongnam Development Corporation dramatically defeated Seoul Metropolitan Government to close in on first-place SK Sugar Gliders.

Gyeongnam Development Corporation defeated Seoul Metropolitan Government 30-28 on Sunday in the fifth game of the second round of the Shinhan SOL Pay 23-24 Handball H League Women’s Division at SK Handball Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

With the victory, Gyeongnam Development Corporation turned the tide after three games and now has nine wins, one draw and two losses, and 19 points, tied with first-place SK Sugar Gliders. They stayed in second place behind the winner.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government tried for a third straight win but lost, leaving them in third place with seven wins, one draw and four losses and 15 points. The loss against second-place Gyeongnam Development Corporation widened the gap to four points.

After falling behind in the first round, Gyeongnam Development Corporation came back to win 30-26 in a thrilling match that saw the team take the lead in the first half and come back to win in the second half. Gyeongnam Development Corporation won the two-game series.

Gyeongnam Development Corporation took the lead early in the first half. Seoul City Hall’s inability to penetrate the defense led to errors and Gyeongnam Development Corporation took an 8-4 lead.

Gyeongnam Development Corporation’s Kim Sora and Heo Yoo-jin blocked mid-range shots with block shots in the center, and Seoul Metropolitan Government struggled. However, an error by Gyeongnam Development Corporation allowed the Seoul Metropolitan Government to pull within 8-7.

The game went back and forth, with Gyeongnam Development Corporation leading by two or three points and Seoul Metropolitan Government following suit. Gyeongnam Development Corporation ended the first half with a 14-11 lead thanks to back-to-back interceptions.

The second half was tense. The teams ran parallel lines, exchanging one goal apiece. Seoul Metropolitan Government exploded with a goal from Woo Bit-na, who had been quiet in the first half. Gyeongnam Development Corporation scored evenly, led by Lee Yeon-kyung and Choi Ji-hye, but Seoul Metropolitan Government scored 12 goals in the second half, including seven in a row from Woo Bitna, to take control of the game.

A save from goalkeeper Jung Jin-hee broke the tense balance, and Seoul Metropolitan Government tied the game at 22-21, and then came back with a successful interception to tie the game at 25-25 and take a 27-25 lead.

Just when it looked like the tide had completely shifted in favor of Seoul Metropolitan Government, the team was handed a two-minute red card, followed by a red card 사설토토 for Jo Aram, leaving them at a numerical disadvantage. Gyeongnam Development Corporation took advantage of this and scored two goals in a row to tie the game.

Woo Bint-na’s shot from the edge of the box was saved by Osara. While Woo’s shots were blocked, Gyeongnam Development Corporation took the lead as Bae Min-hee scored back-to-back goals and eventually won 30-28.

Gyeongnam Development Corporation was led offensively by Choi Ji-hye, who was named MVP of the match, with 10 goals and Lee Yeon-kyung with four goals, while Osara made eight saves.

Seoul Metropolitan Government led the offense with 14 goals from Woo Beet-na and five goals from Lee Kwon-na, while Jung Jin-hee made seven saves.

“Every game is important, but I’m glad we won,” said Bae Min-hee of Gyeongnam Development Corporation, who scored the winning goal with two consecutive goals at the end. “I’m grateful to those who have been supporting us, and I’m shrugging my shoulders because I can show you winning games often, so please look forward to more in the future.”

‘Professor K’ is not retiring yet… Real key MF could sign new deal until 2025

Real Madrid veteran midfielder Toni Kroos is likely to stay with the club for another season.

“His future has been decided,” German sports outlet Sporx reported on Sunday (Aug. 17). According to the outlet, current manager Carlo Ancelotti has signed a new contract with Real and Cross is reportedly keen to stay with the club.

At 34 years old, Cross is still a regular in the starting lineup. His longtime teammate Luka Modric is 38 and has lost his place in the team, but Cross is still a mainstay at Real.

“Modric will leave the team at the end of the season, but Kroos is likely to sign a new contract to stay with the club for another season,” Spurs reported, adding that “talks between the two parties will start at the end of March.” Cross signed a one-year extension after the end of last season, and while his contract expires this summer, a new deal would keep him in a Real shirt until the summer of 2025.

Real Madrid’s midfield depth is thick at the moment. Between Kroos and Modric, as well as Dani Ceballos, Aurélien Chouaményi, Eduardo Camabinga, and Jude Bellingham, there are six players who can play in central midfield. Of these, only Kamabinga and Chouameni pose a threat to Kroos’ spot.

However, Cross is not giving up his starting spot anytime soon.

According to soccer specialist Transfermarkt, he has played a total of 2,031 minutes this season, the sixth highest of all Real players. In midfield, he is second only to Jude Bellingham. Chouameni and Kamabinga have played 1742 and 1675 minutes respectively.

“Ancelotti values crosses very highly,” said ‘Spox’. The strategic importance of crosses in the center of the field is why he deserves a contract extension,” said ‘Spurs’.

Cross is a back who has been playing for the team since 2014. He”s slow on his feet, but his excellent vision and strong kick make him a very successful mid to long-range passer and a good mid-range shot taker. According to soccer specialized platform Sofascore, Cros has never had a passing success rate below 90% since joining La Liga in 2014. This season, he”s been performing beyond his years with a 94% passing success rate.

His domestic fans have nicknamed him “The Professor” after the way he orchestrates his team’s entire attack with passes as precise 카지노 as a ruler.

However, his teammate Modric, who is part of the “Kakamo” combination that once dominated Real’s midfield, is increasingly likely to leave the club at the end of the season.

Modric and Crosby, who won three La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions League titles together with Casemiro, who now plays for Manchester United, have a very different relationship.

British soccer outlet Tribuna reported late last month that Modric was unhappy with his absence against UD Las Palmas, saying, “Ancelotti started Ceballos and didn’t even bring Modric on as a substitute. Modric was forced to sit on the bench for the entire game.”

Notably, when Ceballos was substituted in the 14th minute of the second half, it was Valverde who came on in his place. While this may have been a tactical decision, as the team was down 0-1 and needed to come back from a 1-0 deficit, it was also a sign of Modric’s frustration that he wasn’t getting the playing time he used to get.

Currently, Modric has only played 1,374 minutes, less than the team’s backup goalkeeper Andriy Lunin (1,560).

Arsenal-Liverpool, get out of the Mbappe signing battle

Paris Saint-Germain’s (PSG) Kylian Mbappe could be detrimental to the club if he goes to a team other than Real Madrid, according to a new report.

Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore wrote a piece for soccer publication CutOffside on Sunday (Aug. 17), arguing that “Mbappe’s departure (from Real) could disrupt the pecking order and affect the atmosphere in the locker room.”

“Perhaps the biggest reason Mbappe is heading to Real is to follow in the footsteps of the big clubs,” Collymore wrote, “to see if he can break the records set by the historical figures of those clubs.”

“Players don’t think they’re starting from the bottom when they move to another organization. Many players have dreams, like ‘I want to wear the number of a legendary player’ or ‘I want to score more goals than a legendary player’,” he continued, “and that’s why so many players come back to Real over time.”

However, in the case of Arsenal and Liverpool, both of which have been linked with Mbappe, it’s more about the harmony and unity between the players. Arsenal have largely purged their roster of veterans over the past few seasons in favor of younger or newer players, while Liverpool have been playing together for years and have a strong sense of camaraderie.

“If Liverpool or Arsenal want to get in the race for Mbappe, my advice is to stay away from him,” Collymore said, “He’s a superstar, but he’s going to break the system and he’s always going to be motivated to leave for another club, so it’s bound to affect the other players.”

In other words, other players would have to be sacrificed in order for Mbappe to break records or raise his price tag. Collymore also pointed out that Mbappe’s unchecked power and control over the squad at PSG makes this argument easy to understand.

“In the last few years, Mbappe has been very dominant at PSG, and I’m afraid that won’t go away and will affect the Arsenal squad now,” he said, adding, “If Mbappe comes to North London (Arsenal’s home town) and tries to show off his power, how will we deal with it?”

Real Madrid, on the other hand, he said, has a plethora of world-class players, which could diminish Mbappe’s dominance.

“Real have Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, (veteran and superstar) players,” Collymore said, “so Mbappe will just be another superstar on a 스포츠토토 superstar team.”

Collymore said the same is true for Liverpool. “Liverpool didn’t succeed under Jürgen Klopp by buying superstars, they succeeded by making superstars,” he said, adding that “it would be confusing for Mbappe to try and cement his position while a new manager is coming in (because Klopp is stepping down).”

Xabi Alonso is the favorite to take over at Liverpool, and while he’s been making waves in the German Bundesliga this season with Bayer Leverkusen, he’s still a young “sunshine” manager. As such, Alonso could struggle to control Mbappe if he were to take over.

Meanwhile, Mbappe raised eyebrows on Saturday when he informed the PSG hierarchy that he will be a free agent at the end of the season.

Furthermore, the seemingly unstoppable transfer speculation between Real and Mbappe has been clouded by the entry of Arsenal, Liverpool, and other clubs into the race for the player.

Enrique praises Lee Kang-in for doing well at Asian Cup

Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique has opened up about Lee Kang-in.

At a press conference on Sunday (July 17), a day ahead of the match against Nantes, a reporter asked, “Now that he’s back, what’s his status?” “He missed the last game with a small stomach ulcer, but he’s available now. He is 100%.”

“He played in the Asian Cup without any issues and played at a high level,” he said, adding, “He can play (in the next game).”

Lee was a key player for Klinsmann’s side at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar.

Lee started every game the team played at the tournament and played the full time in all but one of the matches against Australia, where he was substituted with one minute left in extra time.

He scored two goals in the first group game against Bahrain and had one goal and one assist in the third group game against Malaysia. Lee’s three goals are tied with Son Heung-min for the most by a South Korean international.

According to soccer statistician Footmob, Lee also led the team in chances created and chances converted with seven and seven respectively. The tournament ended in the quarterfinals, so he played one game less than the finalists, Qatar and Jordan.

For his performance, Lee was included in the tournament’s Best 11, which the organizers announced on their official social media accounts on Dec. 12.

Lee was named as a right midfielder in a 3-4-3 formation. He was the only South Korean player to make the Best 11.

Lee returned to the Paris Saint-Germain squad immediately after the Asian Cup, but Enrique decided to give him a break. “After the long journey of the tournament, he has been given time off by the coach,” Enrique said, “He is eager to get back to training and playing, but he will be on vacation until next week.”

Lee was expected to return to action in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg of the 2023-24 season against Real Sociedad on Dec. 15, but was left out of the squad, which Paris Saint-Germain won 2-0.

Lee Kang-in is currently in the midst of a “hagiography” controversy. The Sun first reported that Lee did not follow captain Son Heung-min’s instructions the day before the quarterfinal match against Jordan, and the argument escalated into a physical altercation that resulted in Son’s finger injury, which the Korea Football Association confirmed.

The so-called “Ping Pong Gate” scandal rocked the Korean soccer world. Before Jürgen Klinsmann was sacked, he was reportedly quoted by the KFA’s power strengthening committee as saying, “We didn’t perform well because of Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in. Chung Mong-kyu, the president of the Korean Football Association (KFA), and Lee apologized on social networking sites (SNS), but the outrage is not going away.

Amid reports from one media outlet that Lee had punched Son Heung-min in the face, lawyer Kim Garam of Seo On Law Firm said, “Lee Kang-in deeply regrets and reflects on his wrongdoing. He has been thinking that it is right for him to apologize rather than talk about the specifics of the dispute because he was at the center of the dispute.” “We would like to correct any untrue statements. The article states that Lee Kang-in punched Son Heung-min in the face when Son grabbed Lee Kang-in by the nape of the neck, which is not true. There were high-level players present when Lee Kang-in played table tennis, and table tennis was something he had always played before that day.”

The case, which has rocked South Korea, was also of interest to British reporters. When asked about Son Heung-min at a press conference on Sunday, Tottenham manager Enze Postecoglou defended him, saying that it was “an internal matter between the Korean national team”.

“I don’t know all the details of the argument and I don’t want to know. “I don’t know all the details of the argument and I don’t want to know, because it’s an internal 메이저토토사이트 matter in South Korea,” he said, but continued, “But what I do know is that Son Heung-min is showing leadership.

“That’s leadership. Leadership is not about being popular and trying to make everyone happy. It’s about doing what’s best for the group when you see something you don’t think is right. I saw that in Heung-min Son.”

He continued, “People have a misconception about Heung-min. “People misunderstand Son Heung-min because he’s a very positive person who smiles every time you see him and everyone loves him. But he wants to win. He doesn’t like to see his standards drop. That’s what he does here too. If something isn’t right, he says it, and sometimes it’s unpopular. Sometimes it puts him in the line of fire with the team or the club. But as a leader, if you think it’s the right thing to do, you have to push for it,” he said.

Unlike in England, the Paris Saint-Germain press conference did not ask for details of Lee’s work with the Korean national team. Instead, the questions centered on Kylian Mbappe. Just a day earlier, it was reported that Mbappe had decided to leave Paris Saint-Germain. According to reports, Mbappe, whose contract with the club expires at the end of the season, informed president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the club that he would not renew his contract and would leave the club.

When asked about it, Enrique said, “I have no information to give,” adding, “I will avoid talking about this topic until the parties involved talk about it. Mbappe hasn’t said anything publicly and neither has the club.”

PHOTOGRAPHY KOO BOHN-CHANG CAPTURES MARKS OF TIME THROUGH OTHERWORDLY PORTRAITS

Installation view of Koo Bohn-chang's “Vanishing Ashes” series (1994-95) / Korea Times photo by Park Han-sol

Seoul-based photographer Koo Bohn-chang captures the minimalist essence of Korea’s 18th-century moon jars by breathing life into the soft, milky shimmer of these rotund vessels through his lens.Koo, who has been exhibiting his works since 1983, orchestrates a spiritual “homecoming” of these luminous jars, which are now dispersed across the world in the collections at the British Museum in London, the Musée Guimet in Paris, the Museum of Oriental Ceramics in Osaka and the National Museum of Korea in Seoul. In his “Moon Rising III” series (2004-2006), the 12 vessels, which appear almost weightless and ethereal under shadowless lighting, stand in for the moon serenely rising and setting across the sky. Each image reveals the vessels’ various slotplayground signs of wear — slight cracks here, stains and discoloration there — to highlight the distinct beauty found in their imperfections, while poetically, and quite literally, evoking a sense of the passage of time. “I’ve always been fascinated with discovering the traces of time contained in objects and people, no matter how unremarkable they seem, and bringing out those microhistories through my camera lens,” Koo shared with The Korea Times. “After all, the present that we know is shaped by every one of those past stories and memories.”

It is only natural then, that his quest to immortalize these buried microhistories led him to subject matters well beyond the moon jars and other centuries-old white porcelain works that have since been separated from their homeland as in the “Vessel” series (2004-present).In fact, what currently graces the Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) in time for Koo’s first-ever museum retrospective are over 500 images from his 43 photographic series — many of which, in one way or another, lyrically trace the vestiges of the personal and collective past. Displayed at “Koo Bohnchang’s Voyages” are his otherworldly portraits of faded paper flowers traditionally used in Buddhist and shamanistic rituals in “Paper Flower” (2008, 2023), as well as the painted concrete blocks that once masqueraded as the wooden frames of Gwanghwamun, the main gate to historic Gyeongbok Palace, in “Concrete Gwanghwamun” (2010).“Concrete Gwanghwamun,” unveiled to the public for the first time in the show, is remarkable for encapsulating the tumultuous modern history of Korea in just a few uncanny snapshots of the landmark’s architectural remnants. The wooden gate suffered partial bombing at the onset of the 1950-53 Korean War and underwent restoration during the authoritarian government of Park Chung-hee in 1967 — but with reinforced concrete due to time and cost constraints. Only in 2006 were these industrial blocks finally replaced in order to return the gate to its original state. Although his latest project, “Gold” (2016-present), which focuses on the golden relics unearthed from tombs of the Silla Kingdom (57 BCE-935 CE), seems like a departure from the more unassuming objects he previously sought to capture in camera, Koo said that its essence remains the same.

“They still bear the marks of time, albeit in a more subtle way than other artifacts,” he noted. “These aureate crowns and ornaments come from a millennium-old burial chambers. Their owners went to great lengths to eternally possess them, but eventually, all those people disappeared from the earth. Only the objects lived to tell the tale.”Rediscovery of Koo’s earlier, formative seriesBathed in soft, hazy light, the photographic series created over the last three decades by Koo exudes an almost unworldly quality filled with contemplative silence. But the retrospective also offers visitors a chance to plunge into the veteran photographer’s oeuvre well beyond these more celebrated pieces — most notably through his earlier series, which brims with the raw spirit of experimentation and bursts of creativity. It was in 1979 that the 20-something Koo decided to give in to his creative impulses, leaving his corporate job in Seoul and boarding a plane to Germany. While studying photography at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg, he sought feedback from the esteemed documentarian André Gelpke. What was Gelpke’s advice? That Koo should infuse his works with his own identity rather than making himself indistinguishable from European minds. On view at the exhibition are the striking array of attempts made by Koo to achieve that mission.

“Clandestine Pursuit in the Long Afternoon” (1982-88) and “A Perspective on 1980s” (1985-90) comprise dynamic street snapshots of Seoul during the decade marked by democratization movements and the 1988 Summer Olympics. The Seoul that he knew before he left Korea was no longer there; his potent images were a way of addressing his feelings of unfamiliarity toward the city on the cusp of chaotic and rapid modernization. Untitled” (1989) features solarized still-life prints with surrealist injections, while “In the Beginning” (1991-2004) shows multiple photo papers that have been stitched together to birth a composite image of writhing human bodies. “Vanishing Ashes” (1994-95) presents a series of burnt fragments of photographic prints that faintly recall the disastrous tragedies of the time. And “Breath” (1995) poignantly juxtaposes the close-ups of Koo’s bedridden father taken just a year before his death with shots of a stopped clock, a bird specimen in formaldehyde and withered branches.Seeing a majority of my works laid out in one place like this, I realize that I’ve really done a lot of different things. There have been significant changes that affected my personal and creative life throughout the last five decades, but I am grateful that I didn’t put down the camera and continued my journey up to this point,” Koo expressed. And at the age of 70, he insisted that his voyage was far from over.“I’ve been thinking more about what I can do with projects involving cultural heritage assets. It’s not just about capturing them in photos; it’s about taking pride in our culture and finding new perspectives to reinterpret them in a modern context. Personally, just as I highlighted Joseon-era white porcelain vessels in the past, I would like to continue working on the ‘Gold’ series that brings attention to a wider array of Sill-era golden artifacts.”“Koo Bohnchang’s Voyages” 슬롯게이밍 runs through March 10 at the SeMA.

The track, infused with TR-808-style bass sounds and the members’ raps, pays homage to ’90s hip-hop.

Jongseob participated in writing the lyrics for all 10 songs in the album, including the title track. Keeho, Jiung and Intak also contributed to making the album. The members said they are proud of themselves for participating in producing the album.” Since all the members were born in the 2000s, it was challenging for us to understand ’90s hip-hop fully, but we tried to incorporate our unique and fresh interpretation,” Jiung said .Intak said the band focused on showcasing “personal growth.” “We thought about how we could express our emotions through music and wrote lyrics that people would find deeply moving,” he said. The visual concept for “Killin’ It” is another element the members put their utmost effort into, for which they drew inspiration from the 2016 film “Suicide Squad.” “Rather than upright heroes, we thought that each of our true identities could be better illustrated through villainous figures,” Keeho said, adding that they explored heroic qualities beneath their villainous looks “We wanted to express our unique, somewhat mischievous identities that, when merged together, form a perfect team — similar to the squad in the movie.” With the new album, the band wants to reach new heights in its career. “With this album, we wish to 카지노사이트킹 achieve even higher goals like winning first place on domestic music shows,” Keeho said.

Korean Canadian director Celine Song’s debut film “Past Lives” has been generating worldwide buzz, having earned approximately 66 accolades at various international film festivals since its premiere at last year’s Sundance Film Festival. The romance film revolves around a concept called “inyeon,” a Korean word with a complex meaning that touches on fate, destiny, and the connections between people, told through the story of two childhood friends Nora (Greta Lee) and Hae-sung (Yoo Teo).Despite growing apart after Nora’s family moved from sportstotozonecom Korea to the United States, their reunion years later in New York ignites a fateful week of introspection on destiny, love and the life choices that define us.Earning over 190 nominations globally, the film has achieved two notable Academy Award nominations for Original Screenplay and Best Picture. Winners are slated to be announced next month.“I am grateful to the Academy, which has shown interest in my work since last year. It’s an unbelievable honor for me,” Song said during an interview with The Korea Times via Zoom, Tuesday.

“Releasing this film in different countries around the world, I’ve come across people saying ‘inyeon’ in different accents. And seeing them accepting such an unfamiliar word and feeling its essence has made me happy.”The director, who moved to Canada at the age of 12, shared that the story drew inspiration from her personal experience of having a drink at a bar with her childhood friend from Korea and her husband.“As I sat in the middle, interpreting for these two people, I felt as if I was interpreting my own history, like I was sitting along my past, present and future. And when I shared these special emotions with my friends, they all had similar experiences. So, I started writing the script with this scene in mind,” she said.“Everyone goes through experiences leaving the place they used to live, though not necessarily mean immigrating. I believe as time passes, the life you left behind leads to inyeon and creates special moments within your ordinary life. So I wanted to make a movie about it.”

She noted that although inyeon might be culturally specific to Koreans, its concept resonates with global audiences, transcending cultural boundaries. The film’s exploration of life’s relationships and pivotal moments carries a message with universal appeal.“I’ve learned the word inyeon and its meaning through countless conversations with my parents. And (knowing that) itself gave depth to my life,” she said, explaining how it enhanced her understanding of life’s interconnectedness.“Even though people around the world have not known the word inyeon, learning it through this film gave a sense of depth within their own lives. I think people love this movie because it helps them realize these special relationships and moments that make them love their 스포츠토토존 lives.””Past Lives” is set to hit local theaters on March 6.

Lim’s defensive and receiving skills have also improved compared to previous seasons. He’s pulled his weight at Vixtorm, helping the team overcome an early-season wobble to climb up to fourth place on the seven-team table. Lim also represented Korea at the Hangzhou Asian Games in September, although the men’s national volleyball team failed to medal.  “I’ve been really busy, but I think being busy is a good thing for an athlete,” Lim said during an interview with the JoongAng Ilbo at Vixtorm’s training center in Uiwang, Gyeonggi on Monday. “I don’t really have huge desire for individual stats. I want to be a player that is good at everything.”  Lim said weight training is one of the reasons he’s improved this season.“I weighed 82 kilograms (180 pounds) last year, but it was 86 or 87 kilograms before the start of this season,” Lim said. “I felt that I gained weight, but I still did not feel like my body was heavy. My body fat stayed at nine percent. I think my body got bigger [due to gaining muscle].

His improved form has also caught the eyes of fans from around the world, with people from Thailand, Japan and Taiwan attending Vixtorm games to see him in person.  In addition to his form, Lim said he has also looked to change his character on the court.“I worked [to alter my character] as I think athletes need to be more like extroverts” Lim said. “I try to make big movements when I have a chance to score.  “I got to know the saying ‘You lose your courage if you think too long.’ I think a lot during games, and that leads to bad results … volleyball, especially, requires quick thinking.”Lim and his teammates are aiming for Vixtorm’s first-ever V League title, having managed a fourth-place finish on the seven-team table last season.  Vixtorm was due to face 슬롯게이밍 Ansan OK Financial Group Okman on Thursday at 7 p.m. as of press time.
