Responsible Wagering Australia supports financial counselling services

Responsible Wagering Australia members, bet365, betfair, Entain, PointsBet, SportsBet and Unibet are offering Australians more than $3 million over three years to quickly access financial counselling services if needed.

In partnership with the federal government, the financial counseling sector and a range of industries, including banking, energy and insurance, RWA has established a non-profit organization that will distribute funds to financial counseling services across the country from the beginning of next year.

Responsible Wagering Australia CEO Kai Cantwell said financial counselors played an important role in helping Australians in financial difficulties by managing debt, making informed choices about their money, and providing free, independent and secret advice on how to build a future with financial freedom. 온라인경마

Mr Cantwell said: “RWA members are proud to have established industry standards to keep customers safe, well beyond the requirements set by the government.”

“This funding is based on the best consumer protection, including essential age and identification, deposit limits, timeout tools and activity statements that exist only in online gambling.”

“RWA is proud to sign this agreement in 2021 after actively approaching the federal government and volunteering to contribute to the organization.”

“The top priority for the RWA and its members is to ensure that customers can gamble in a safe environment while accessing tools to control their gambling behavior.”

“This funding commitment demonstrates the collective commitment of the RWA and its member states to provide vital support to those who may need help protecting the welfare of Australians and managing their financial situation.”

“With many Australians now struggling with the growing cost of living pressures, the work of financial counselors is more important than ever.”

“The organisation will help Australians manage their current situation and develop long-term financial skills that can be applied to all areas of life.”

“RWA is committed to working with government and industry to ensure the successful implementation of this initiative and hopes other industries will follow the lead of the RWA and contribute to this initiative.”
