WSOP Requires Proof of Fully Vaccinated Proof

The World Series of Poker announced that anyone attending the 2021 World Series of Poker Tournament, best known as the “Main Event,” and the $10,000 Unlimited Holdham World Championship, will have to prove that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The event will return to live play from Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino with a policy in place from Thursday, Sept. 30, through Tuesday, Nov. 23.

“This is not a decision we made lightly – it was made without any agenda other than to protect the qualifications of the players and the operations of the unique TV game events,” said Ty Stewart, CEO of WSOP. “The essence of poker is being around the opponent for a long period of time, and a place in World Series poker is a promise for both our company and the participants. We hope players will be excited about returning to WSOP while also limiting the highest levels of protection and complications during this fall’s tournament.”

Participants must provide proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 on their first registration to participate in WSOP events, including bracelet events, Deepstack tournaments, satellite and live action games.

WSOP will take advantage of CLEAR’s free mobile app and health pass capabilities. With CLEAR’s Health Pass, participants who have successfully added proof of full vaccination will be able to go directly to the registered cage teller within the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino Convention Center. WSOP will also offer an on-site center where you can check physical vaccination cards and alternative documents, including state or country health passes.

To be considered “fully vaccinated” against COVID-19, participants must receive a final vaccination 14 days before the start date. The policy includes all participants, media, spectators and suppliers. 안전 토토사이트

Under current CDC guidelines and state mandates, all attendees and team members are required to wear masks. In addition, WSOP participants who may have been exposed to someone who tested positive with the new policy will not need to quarantine after leaving the contest if they are asymptomatic after the time of exposure.
