Tottenham’s ‘UCL progression’ in jeopardy…Udoji, Hicharisson and now Bissouma ‘out for season’

There’s an emergency at Tottenham Hotspur. Yves Bissouma has been ruled out for the season.

“Head coach Enze Postecoglou has confirmed that Bissouma will be ruled out of the final two games of the season,” Tottenham announced on Wednesday.

After conceding such an unexpected goal, Tottenham wasted no time in regaining the lead. In the 32nd minute, Pedro Foro exchanged one-on-one passes with Brennan Johnson on the right flank before dribbling into the box and finishing with a stunning right-footed shot to level the score at 1-1. The first half ended with the score at 1-1.

With the equalizer, Tottenham came back into the game. In the second half, they completely dominated their opponents, but were denied by a series of ‘saves’ from Mourinho and the game remained in the balance until the final whistle.

Tottenham continued to press forward. Vanderbeek was the solution. In the 37th minute of the second half, Vanderven, who was high up in the area, received a pass from Maddison and advanced to the front of the arc, where he slotted a left-footed shot into the corner of the goal. Spurs then brought on Giovanni Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to consolidate and the game ended 1-2 in favor of Spurs.

Bissouma’s injury was revealed to be a knee. “Postecoglou explained to Spurs Play ahead of the game against Manchester City: ‘Unfortunately, Bissouma picked up a knee injury in the last game and will be out for the next two games,'” the club reported.
