Hyundai Mobis showed back-and-forth play in the first and second halves.
The Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus lost 62-79 to the Suwon KT Sonic Boom in the third round of the 2023-2024 Korean Basketball League quarterfinals at Ulsan Dongcheon Gymnasium 먹튀검증 on Monday.
Despite leading in the first half, Hyundai Mobis fell into a serious slump in the second half and allowed the game to come from behind. With the loss, Hyundai Mobis is now 1-2 in the series and in danger of elimination.
Head coach Cho Dong-hyun said, “We started off well, but lost our focus in the second half. It’s not that our opponent played well, but our players killed themselves and gave the game away as soon as the second half started. We will prepare well for Game 4. We will be focused,” he reflected on the game.
Jang Jae-seok’s early foul trouble was also a problem for Ham Ji-hoon as it increased his physical burden.
“When Jae-seok gets into foul trouble, it’s hard to run the game,” Cho said. I wanted Jae-seok to hold on, so I took out (Kim) Jun-il, but I think we’ll have to think about the roster for Game 4.”
Asked about the 20 turnovers, Cho said, “It’s a lack of experience. We talked about it a lot, but it happened again. It’s self-destructive. It’s a shame because we played a perfect game until the first half. Basketball is a game where the flow can change in an instant.”
