MGM Resorts Provides Latest Cybersecurity Issues Update

MGM Resorts International recently revealed that the company has identified cybersecurity issues affecting certain systems and that an investigation is underway into them. Around September 29, 2023, MGM Resorts determined that an unauthorized third party obtained the personal information of some customers on September 11, 2023. 슬롯머신

Affected information included name, contact information (telephone number, email address, postal address, etc.), gender, date of birth, and driver’s license number, social security number and/or passport number were also affected, and the type of information affected was individual to individual.

The company believes that the customer password, bank account number, and payment card information have not been affected by this issue.

As soon as MGM Resorts became aware of this issue, it took system and data protection measures, including shutting down certain systems. The company has also quickly launched an investigation with the help of top cybersecurity experts and is working with law enforcement. MGM Resorts takes the security of its systems and data very seriously and has additional safeguards in place to further protect the system.

MGM Resorts is notifying the relevant customers via email in accordance with the applicable legislation and has arranged to provide them with free credit monitoring and identity protection services. Individuals who receive an email from MGM Resorts regarding this issue should use that email for additional information and instructions to register with the service.

MGM Resorts’ notice regarding this issue recommends actions that the relevant customer can take to protect their information.
