Korea Olympic Committee to run pre-training camps and catering center at Paris Olympics

Korean athletes will receive pre-training camps and meal support at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The Korea Olympic Committee (KOC) announced that it signed a lease agreement with Citesport, the management agency of the French Center for National Defense Sports (CNSD), in Paris, France, on Monday (June 1).

The agency will operate the pre-training camp and catering support center for Korean athletes during the Paris Olympics.

It is the first time in 12 years since the London 2012 Olympics that the KOC has organized both a pre-training camp and a catering support center at an Olympic Games.

The agreement will allow the Korean athletes to train at the CNSD training camp.

The CNSD is a French military sports training facility that includes a state-of-the-art gymnasium with indoor track and field, as well as a dedicated kitchen and dining hall.

The KOC will dispatch nutritionists and culinary staff from the Jincheon National Athletes’ Village to provide Korean and nutritious boxed lunches to the athletes and coaches at the training camp and athletes’ village.

“The Korean athletes achieved excellent results (5th place overall) at the 2012 London Olympics, where we operated a pre-training camp and catering center,” said Jang Jae-geun, head of the National Athletes’ Village, who attended the signing ceremony. “We will do our best to support the national athletes so that they can focus on their training at the Paris Olympics.” 파워볼사이트
