Maverick Gaming LLC, a fast-growing gaming company, announced it was acquiring four credit card rooms in Washington state. Chip’s Casino in Lakewood, Goldis Casino in Shoreline, Palace Casino in Lakewood and Riverside Casino in Tukwila will be Maverick’s property today as the market leader in the responsible gaming industry received regulatory approval from the Washington State Gambling Commission for the acquisition of Evergreen Gaming Corporation, a former owner of four card rooms.
The acquisition of four card rooms has secured a total of 22 locations of Maverick Gaming sites in Washington. These card rooms are typically characterized by up to 15 tables dedicated to card games, as well as neighborhood-based entertainment options, including restaurants and bars. Maverick Gaming will follow its existing work contract, Teamsters Local 117, and keep its employed employees on the property, increasing Maverick’s union workforce by about 518 team members.
This is in line with Maverick’s current workforce growth forecast of around 684. Maverick Gaming, headquartered in Kirkland, Washington, has approximately 3,000 dedicated employees. The company owns and operates a portfolio of 31 properties with more than 1,800 slot machines, 350 table games, 1,020 hotel rooms and 30 restaurants across Nevada, Washington and Colorado.
The acquisition, announced today, is another expansion of Maverick Gaming’s business, contributing significantly to the community, including an additional $80.475 million in Washington state.
