Hard Rock International starts construction at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Athens

Hard Rock International, GEK TERNA Group, and the Athenian community celebrated the groundbreaking of this luxury resort and casino in the heart of Rivera, Athens. The groundbreaking ceremony featured a commemorative shovel celebration at the historic Heliniikon Airport. The ensuing ceremony was held at the Heliniikon Experience Center and included Hard Rock International executives, GEK TERNA Group executives, Greek government officials, senior political figures, and community leaders.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Athens is the first integrated resort in continental Europe and will serve as an economic driving force for entertainment and tourism in the city of Athens. Estimated to open in 2027, the resort will be a unique destination with a combination of luxury hotels, world-class gaming floors, premier conference and convention spaces, state-of-the-art entertainment venues, internationally renowned food and beverage, a luxurious rock spa and pool complex, and luxury retail trails.

The 1.5 billion-euro construction project will not only boost Athens’ regional economy, but will also have an immediate positive impact on Greece’s economy, with state-of-the-art facilities expected to create 3,000 construction jobs and 3,000 permanent jobs. 온라인카지노

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Athens offers a vibrant casino with 180 tables and 1,500 game consoles, and a tower with 1,100 rooms and 15 dining options. The project also includes a 3,000-seat Hard Rock Live Theater with standing room for 4,000 guests, and Rock® Spa and Body Rock Fitness.

Inspired by Athens’ rich heritage and culture as well as beautiful Mediterranean landscapes, this unique destination expands with the growing presence of Hard Rock in Europe. Hard Rock and GEK TERNA Group’s commitment to this project represents a shared vision with the Greek government and Lambda Development to turn the historic Helinicon Airport into a global redevelopment that will further enhance the city and Greece’s tourism industry.
